How to Cancel Your Disney+ Subscription
No longer need your fix of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars films? Here's how to cancel your Disney+ subscription on the web.
You may already subscribe to different video streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. But you wanted to give Disney+ a try to watch your favorite Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel films and maybe catch Baby Yoda on The Mandalorian. But now you're tired of the service or just don't want to pay for it any longer and need to cancel. Here's how to do just that.
A subscription to Disney+ alone currently sells for $6.99 a month or $69.99 for a full year. You can try before you buy with a free 7-day trial. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged for the subscription. If you cancel after the trial is over, your subscription will continue until the next billing cycle, which means the end of the month if you opted for the monthly plan, and the end of the year if you went for the annual option. In either case, you'll still be charged for the initial $6.99 for the current month or the $69.99 for the full year.
Alternatively, a $12.99-per-month Disney bundle gives you access to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. You can start off with this monthly option or switch to it after you've already signed up for Disney+ alone. The same cancellation policy applies. If you cancel, your subscription will remain in effect until the end of your current month, and you'll be charged the full $12.99.
You can cancel your Disney+ or Disney bundle subscription through the Disney+ website. Browse to the Disney+ website and sign into your account. Click the icon for your profile and select the option for Account.
At the Account page, click the link for Billing Details. If you go through the app, you will automatically be redirected to the website. You must then enter your account credentials to make any changes.
From the Billing Details screen, select the Cancel Subscription link. The next page asks if you want to cancel the subscription. Click the Complete Cancellation button to proceed and you will see a confirmation screen.
Disney will also ask you to fill out a brief survey that asks why you decided to cancel your subscription. Check one or more reasons why you cancelled the subscription, like price, incompatible devices, technical issues, or something else. Certain responses trigger additional options to check.
If you select Other, you're asked to type a specific reason for cancelling the Disney+ service. When done, click the Submit button.
You'll also receive an email confirming the cancellation. Should you change your mind, click the Restart Subscription button in the email to resume your subscription.
